School Regulations and Instructions

SCHOOL REGULATIONS

1. Every pupil will be given a copy of this diary and this should be brought to school daily.

2. The hours of attendance are from 9-00 a.m. to 5-00 p.m.

3. When a student is absent, leave letter should be given to the class teacher.

4. Parents and guardians are earnestly requested to enforce regularity and discipline to see that their children learn their daily lessons.

5. No parent is allowed to enter the classroom during class hours. without permission from the headmistress.

6. Students are not allowed to go out during the lunch break.

7. The progress report should be returned to the school duly signed by the parents/guardians within three days.

8. Parents or guardians are expected to meet the class teacher of their children to enquire about their progress on the Open House Days.

9. On all school days students should come to school in full uniform.

10. All the National Celebrations in school must be compulsorily attended by the pupil.

11. In deciding promotion, regular attendance and the whole year’s performance is taken into account.

12. Houses: Pupils are divided into four homes namely Rose, Sunflower, Blue bell and Lillies.

INSTRUCTIONS TO PARENTS OR GUARDIANS

1. Kindly call at the Office at least once during each term to inquire about your child’s progress.

2. You are requested to supervise daily Home Work of your children and thus co- operate with the teachers.

3. You are requested to examine the report cards and return them duly signed to the respective class teachers within three days. Parents are requested not to disturb the teacher or the students during class hours. If necessary they can contact the teacher before or after class.

4. Parents are warned not to give any donation on any account to any person. No agents are entertained. In case donation is advanced to any person Management is not responsible.

DISCIPLINARY REGULATIONS

1. Students should be on time for school. They should arrive 10 minutes earlier to the School before starting the assembly.

2. Those who come late require an admit slip from the Principal or her deputy. Habitual late comers are not allowed to attend classes, and to meet other sanctions given by the authorities.

3. Punctuality and regular attendance is insisted on every student. He/she should abide by the holidays granted by the school, and not prolong vacations and holidays without urgent need. Attendance on the opening day and closing day of every term is compulsory.

4. During the school day, if a student needs to leave the school compound, he/she must get a written sanction from the Principal, and Class Teacher. No student is allowed to leave school premises unless accompanied by parent / guardian.

5. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the school for students. It will be confiscated if any student is found to carry one in the school premises.

6. Attendance is compulsory on the occasions of various celebrations in the school.

7. Books, Magazines or any periodicals or any reading material of objectionable nature will not be permitted in the school.

8. Irregular attendance, misconduct, insubordination to teachers etc., are sufficient for permanent or temporary dismissal of a student. Other offences are punishable according to the gravity of the offence.

9. Students should not wear any costly jewels or ornaments to school. The school is not responsible for the loss or damage caused.

10. When a student has been absent from school or has come late, she should produce her calendar with reasons for her absence duly entered in the leave record and signed by her Parent or Guardian and counter signed by the head mistress before she enters the class.

11. Any student needing to be exempted from P ,T. or games must produce parent’s appeal along with doctor’s certificate to the effect that he/she is physically unfit.

The Following behaviour patterns will be considered as misconducts:

i) Rudeness to fellow students.

ii) Disobedience to School leaders.

iii) Rudeness : to a staff member.

iv) Lack of refinement in public places.

v) The use of indecent or abusive language.

vi) Non adherence to any school regulation.

vii) Physically hurting or bounding another student.

viii) Forging signature.

ix) Missing a class without permission.

x) Colouring Hair.

xi) Writing in school library books, School Property or destroying school property.

xii) Leaving the School premises without permission.

xiii) Eating or drinking in class or during assembly.

xiv) Chewing gum.

xv) Liner the class or school premises.

xvi) Wearing fancy watches.

xvii) Applying nail polish, Lip gloss, Up balm with glitter of colour.

xviii) Misbehaviour on the bus.

In general, performance of a student in all the Tests and Examinations of the year is considered rather than her performance in the final Examination alone. This is particularly applicable to those who have not been able to take the final Examination due to illness, provided valid Medical certificate furnished at the time of Examination.

MEETING THE HEADMISTRESS

Parents are requested to meet the Headmistress at least once in a term and ascertain the progress and conduct of their children.

MEETING THE TEACHERS

Parents may, meet the individual teachers after class with previous appointment. They are requested not to disturb them during class hours. Time : 3-00 p.m. to 4-00 p.m.
